I don't CARE that the universe is realized much more convincingly than the old one. I don't CARE that the new Optimus Prime (now with a Tragic Past! and Dark Secrets!) has started to hit your noble-authority-figure button. I don't CARE that you've started to sit on the couch and watch it with the kids.
