Fandom's National Anthem

More the second verse than the first for me, but there it is. :)

"Some whispering poem was calling us home to a place we know never existed...."

The Words

Made of win. Pure unadulterated awesome. I've been that first verse. ;-)

That's very cool, although I was momentarily distracted by the woman on the right who was in tears because her camera wasn't working!

I must have group sex with these nerds at the next Con.

Oh yes. Good find.

So don't be unkind to a wandering mind

I like that! :)

Tom Smith rocks my world. :)

Which part? The I'm-off-in-my-own-little-world-while-doing-a-menial-job, or the frustrated wife bit? :)

And the guy who just stood in front of the camera!

No doubt!

Tom Smith is FABULOUS.

Hell, I practically need it on a t-shirt.

The waitress with the thousand-yard stare. Oh yes.

I worked as a cashier for a summer at a sporting-goods store. Same thing.

The boss would sometimes asked me what I was thinking about, and part of me always wanted to snark back with "You own my time, not my thoughts," but that would've been uncalled for. He didn't mean any harm.

Also, when you answer stuff like "the Defenestration of Prague" or "I wonder if I have enough of that fabric to make a skirt," they stop asking.

Or you sprout random bits of narration, as I am wont to do.
