Because some people are better than the rest of us:
Take note: Miep Gies died today.
I like to think I would have been as brave as she was. I like to think that, but I don't know. Everyone imagines that they would have been Miep Gies or Oskar Schindler, but had that been the case, there would have been no need for Miep Gies or Oskar Schindler.
I can, however, honor what she did.
All honor to you as you go to your well-deserved rest, madam.
