A few weeks ago, I had an idea for a fic.

rexluscus saw it for a really good idea long before I did, and got on my case until it got written. In Perpetuity was the result. If you haven't read it, the final line is a chant which, for the main character, is a touchstone; a thread of continuity over the length of an unusually long life.

And now, he wonderful

rm has recorded a vocal track of the chant, and it is exactly as it should be. She got the tone, the voice and the otherworldliness of it down perfectly. If I had sat down and attempted to record a version of the chant as I wrote it, it would not have been this good.

I've uploaded both an MP3 version (500k) and a WAV version (10MB). Listen to it. It is perfect. (And if you agree, you should tell her so.)
