An update...
Nov. 18th, 2009 09:59 pmWell. What a fucking month it's been. Sweet Jumping Jesus on a Pogo Stick.
Most importantly, the kids are healthy. Yay! It was a mild case of the swine flu, which makes me sort of glad, since now they'll have immunity. But that really was a low point in that hotel room, I have to tell you.
Second most importantly, we're in our new house! There is an *assload* of work to be done, but we're here. Yay! OMG! We're RIGHT NEXT to the Trader Joe's! I can buy raw-milk roquefort at the local non-foofy grocery store! I'm closer to the mountains! We get snow here, which we didn't on the other side of town! My MIL is willing to have T-day at our house, which means that 1) the food will not suck ass, and 2) there will be wine! It takes less time to walk to the Heir Apparent's school than it did to drive before!
(Actually, I'm feeling sort of Irish about the whole thing. I'm now afraid that God will strike me down because my life isn't supposed to be this easy. Or happy. OTOH, looking back on my journal, 2009 has contained some fairly epic suck for me, so maybe this is balance? I dunno.)
So there it is. And I need to work on my Yuletide assignment...
