Remind me - has it been stated that the SHIELD series will be set in the movie-verse, and if so, has it been stated that it takes place post-Avengers? Because until I hear those two things, well, I'm being a bit restrained - I want to jump up and down, but I'd hate to do that and then later find out that it's just a Coulson LMD, you know?

Well, it's definitely in the movie-verse, but when it's set hasn't been indicated. Clark Gregg tweeted that it was a real part.

I'm ok with an LMD as long as its lines are written by Joss Whedon, and as long as it's played by Clark Gregg. :)

Yeah, that got a little...crazy. I'm still baffled as to why. It's not like he's the only TV character to ever die.
