New glasses!

So I got new glasses, and decided to get Transitions lenses, considering that I tend to lose/smash/forget about prescription sunglasses, and contacts are a non-option.
I got them today, and was squeeing a bit in the Costco parking lot, because, dude, they actually got darker!
I didn't realize they have a rep, though.

(Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to run outside and make them go dark again. It's just neat, ok?)

Date: 2010-01-28 05:34 pm (UTC)The only person I ever knew who had them (that I know of) was someone who was around when I lived in Wales, where in winter half the time 'daylight' is only used because there's no short word (in either language) for 'we know that there's daylight on the outside of this massive cloud blanket'- the result was she went round most of the time with her glasses showing a very faint sepia tint. She was in 2003 when her eyes were circa 1896. But then, she wore a kagule most of the time, which suggested that she didn't give a damn.
