Just. No.

Phil Coulson did not graduate from high school in 1992.

Kids, I realize that 38 seems absolutely ancient to you, but it's not.  And as totally hot as Clark Gregg is, he is definitely not in his late 30s.

Thank you.

*SNORT* He's 50 if he's a fucking day. Maybe 47, 46.

Yep, born in 62.

And still totally hot! In fact, I would argue, hotter than he was when he was younger.

And apparently loves Coulson fan art; he's always retweeting links, LOL.

Actually, watching Clark Gregg's reaction to all this has been a lot of fun. He seems so honestly enthused by the whole thing. :) He outright credits the fan response for bringing Coulson into the SHIELD series.

And, I have to admit, I've never seen a fandom do this before - there's been lots and lots of hysterical reactions after character deaths, but I've never seen anything quite like this level of total denial.

- given I have my Clint as being in Desert Storm, and he's clearly younger than Coulson...

He looks about the same age as me - late 40s. Which makes me wonder why I haven't got a supercool government job liaising with gods.

I'm in my late 30s. So apparently, I've got a decade to get to the point where I have a supercool government job liasing with gods. :)

Yeah. No. The actor is 50. No way the character is younger than in his late 40s.

And also not the type to get flustered by a high school reunion. "What's that, Fred? You just bought your second used car dealership? Well, that's just great! Congratulations!" Yeah, I work on the Helicarrier. I win, bitches!
